Helping Keep Furry Pets and Animals Free from Germs

Sep. 07, 2021

I grew up with pets and always enjoyed spending time with them, whether it was playing with them in the yard or using an imaginary stethoscope to check on animals' health. Now I understand how important our furry companions are, and keeping all my family happy and healthy is my top priority.

Bacteria love animals too

Pets are just as susceptible to bacteria and viruses as humans are. Canine microviruses, also known as microviruses, are one of them. This highly contagious and sometimes fatal viral disease is one of the most common causes of severe diarrhoea in dogs under 6 months of age and can also affect adult dogs. How to protect against the microvirus

Microviruses can spread rapidly between dogs in confined spaces such as animal shelters, veterinary hospitals or kennels - mainly through their contact with contaminated faeces. To help prevent the spread of the microvirus, it is vital that the entire facility is cleaned and disinfected when a dog becomes ill.
Many shelters across the country rely on AAAA because it is an easy and inexpensive way to help prevent the spread of microviruses and other viruses. You can also use it at home to help kill germs.

Tips for keeping your animals healthy

1,Vaccinations

I can't stress enough the importance of vaccinations for pets. All dogs need to be vaccinated against microviruses, distemper, rabies and adenovirus. Cats should be vaccinated against panleukopenia, culexvirus, feline herpesvirus type I and rabies. Your veterinarian is the best guide for determining the timing of vaccinations for dogs, cats and other pets. Other liquid injection can help, too.

2,Disinfection

Use toys that are regularly disinfected. You can use a solution of ½ cup of bleach in 1 gallon of water. To kill the micro-virus, soak the item in the solution for 10 minutes, then rinse and air dry. If the animal develops diarrhoea, which could also be a bacterial infection, use Anti Diarrhea Premix.

3,Discover

Before you can fight germs in your home, you must first identify their habitat. What is your pet's favourite area in your home? Their favourite toy hidden under the sofa? Make a list of every place and object your pet has touched or been to.

4,Be Informed

Bacteria can survive in the environment for long periods of time. This is especially true in spaces where pets are constantly in and out. Before taking your loved one to the vet or kennel, don't be afraid to ask them what steps they are taking to prevent the spread of germs.

5,Make it a routine

Getting your pet vaccinated, disinfecting their belongings and asking the right questions of their caregivers are just the beginning. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

During the Covid-19, you should try to limit the amount of time you spend walking your dog outside, but that doesn't mean your dog has to stay indoors all day. When you walk your dog, use a leash cable to avoid unnecessary contact between your pet and other strangers or animals and to prevent him from picking up or touching random objects. Carry a plastic bag with you for dog waste; the community will thank you for this.
